Jennifer Esser

Jennifer Esser is an advocate for wild nature and a mother, librarian, and eater of local foods. She is a member of the Conservation Commission in the Town of Huntington, where she lives. She has worked to educate people about the importance of protecting biodiversity and wild places ever since moving to Vermont in 1997 and serendipitously getting an editorial position at the former Wild Earth magazine. Currently staff at the Richmond Free Library and a board member of the Eddy Foundation, she has also worked at the Children's Literacy Foundation and Northeast Wilderness Trust. Jennifer was honored to travel to New York City for Half-Earth Day in 2018 with her partner Walter Poleman.
